Over/Under odds for Tampa Bay Buccaneers set at 6.5 wins

As Las Vegas is setting their odds in preparation for the 2019 season, they do not think too highly of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Legalized sports gambling is revolutionizing the way that fans now consume the NFL and their favorite teams. For the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, their over/under on wins for the 2019 season has been set at six-and-a-half, and the odds on betting the over are at +115.

Breaking down the Buccaneers’ schedule managing seven wins is a decent bet as their non-conference schedule has some games that could be a toss up, and they are good for at least two or three divisional wins as well. Under new head coach Bruce Arians, there are many, Pro Football Focus (subscription required) included, that believe the Buccaneers will make a huge jump this season and potentially go from worst to first.

The Buccaneers open their season with the San Francisco 49ers; a team coming off of a setback year and a quarterback in Jimmy Garropolo returning from an ACL injury. Should the Buccaneers swing a week one win, then it could set the tone for a solid and surprising season.

Other winnable games on the Buccaneers’ schedule include the New York Giants, Tennessee Titans, Arizona Cardinals, and Detroit Lions. Tampa Bay will also see playoff teams such as the Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks, Indianapolis Colts, and Houston Texans this season aa well and will find it difficult to pull out wins here.

Six-and-a-half wins is probably a good over/under to set as it is hard to find seven games the Buccaneers are sure-fire winners in. However, the team could surprise many with Arians at the helm and and may contend with the high-powered juggernauts of the NFC South this year. This over/under line is a bet to avoid as it is too close to call.
