Continuing the trend of analytics being on the side of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers entering the 2019 season, Mike Evans posts jaw dropping advanced statistics.

Mike Evans was drafted seventh overall by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers back in 2014, and since has been nothing short of a constant playmaker for the team. Some great and scary news for Bucs’ fans as the 2019 season approaches: Evans will be only 26 year old entering his sixth season in the league.

The 6-5 and 230 pound monster of a receiver has bullied the league for five seasons now, but yet still has not been named an All-Pro and manages to slide under the radar around the league. 2018 may have been his best season yet, but the best could still be ahead for Evans.

Last year Evans was named to his second Pro Bowl for the Buccaneers, and it was a well-deserved honor. He caught 86 passes for a career-high 1524 yards and eight touchdowns for the Buccaneers, who could not field a constant or consistent quarterback last season; Pro Football Focus (subscription required) graded him out at a high caliber 84.3 last season.

Yes, Evans’ production was top in the league in every statistical category in 2018, but he is also an analytical darling, ranking near the top in numerous advanced metrics as well. Make no mistake, these six statistics will not only make your jaw fall to the floor, but also leaves little doubt that Evans is both elite and criminally underrated as he enters his sixth year with the Buccaneers.
