QB Jameis Winston

The big one; the majority of the success of the Buccaneers in 2019 will be channeled through the arm of Jameis Winston this year. It is his contract year, and he will need to cut down on the interceptions and off-the-field troubles in order to see more consistent play and a potentially massive pay day.
This is Winston’s first time in his career where he has to learn a new offense as he has played under a Koetter offense throughout the first four years in Tampa Bay. Arians is a fan of Winston, and Winston has the skill set to run his offense; the only concern remains between the ears for Winston.

As the starting quarterback, Winston has a career record of 21-33 manning the ship in Tampa Bay. He has completed over 61 percent of his passes for over 14,600 yards, 88 touchdowns, and 58 interceptions. Last year, adjusted over the span of 16 games, Winston was on pace for 5,300 yards, 38 touchdowns, but also 25 interceptions.

The arm talent is there, and he is the best quarterback that the Buccaneers have ever seen, but the interception numbers have been the downfall of himself and his team. If Winston can cut down on the mistakes, he will see the most amount of money he has ever seen in his life; if he cannot cut down on the interceptions, then he will see a one-way ticket out of Tampa Bay.
