The Buccaneers will win a Wild Card spot

The last bold prediction here is that the Buccaneers will find their way back to the postseason for the first time in 11 years and win a Wild Card spot out of the deep NFC South. In Arians’ first season, it would be a tough ask to dethrone the should-have-been NFC champion New Orleans Saints as well as knock off the Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers.

However, looking at the Buccaneers’ schedule, if they can start off the season with a winning record through three games and push through the brutal seven weeks away from Raymond James Stadium with even a .500 record in that span, then they could be looking a nine-to-ten win season right in the face. That should do the trick of locking down a playoff birth in 2019 for the Buccaneers.

Last year the Seattle Seahawks and the Philadelphia Eagles made their way into the playoffs by way of the Wild Card with a 10-6 and 9-7 record respectively. The Wild Card is in the cards for the Buccaneers as they prep for the 2019 season, and given that they are nested in the toughest division that tends to beat up on one another, nine wins could see them clinch a playoff spot in Bruce Arians’ first year as head coach in Tampa Bay.
