3. Can we truly trust Jameis this time?

This is the question that will completely determine the success of the Buccaneers in 2019: Is Jameis Winston to truly be trusted or will we see the same old bonehead mistakes from him this season? The praise has been high for Winston this offseason from the coaching staff from him, and he has refrained from being involved in any off-the-field issues.

Even playing in a limited and revolving role last year, Winston was on pace for over 5,000 yards and 38 touchdowns last year after adjusting his stats to 16 games. The problem, however, is that he was also on pace for 25 interceptions, which is a big no-no and a sin that gaudy passing numbers cannot compensate for.

Winston has to cut down on the mistakes; off-the-field he has done so. On the field is to be determined for Winston as training camp is set to begin. For once he does not have the pressure of a quarterback competition, and has the full support of the coaching staff.

Next. 3 potential trades Bucs could pursue. dark

If Winston puts it all together in 2019, the last year of his contract year, the market is setting for him to receive a payday of upwards of $30 million or more annually on his next contract. If he fails to take the leap the Buccaneers need from him, he could be tagged and given another short term chance, or could be looking for a new place to play football.
