Weakest group: Defensive Backs

The cornerback and safety group of the Buccaneers is about right, and it is hard to disagree with their lowly standings in the Madden community. The highest graded defensive backs right now are Justin Evans with a 75 and Vernon Hargreaves with a 74. Other than that only Sean Murphy-Bunting and Carlton Davis crack the 70s in their rating.

Rookies Mike Edwards and Jamel Dean crack the high 60s with 68 overalls, but Jordan Whitehead and new safety Kentrell Brice are rated as just a 65 overall. This group deserves to be the lowest rated group on the roster, as they have a lot to prove and a long way to go.

Strongest Group: Wide Receivers

It is also hard to disagree with the highest rated group on the roster in the wide receivers. Other than Evans’ 91 rating, Chris Godwin got an 81 rating, and Breshad Perriman gets a 72. Counting the tight ends as well, O.J. Howard gets an 84 overall and Cameron Brate a 79.

Rookie Scotty Miller also got a 66, but he could jump up the rankings fairly quickly as the Buccaneers plan to deploy him in a ton of new looks. Second-year receiver Justin Watson also bordered on a 70 with a 68 overall as he looks to get more reps after the departures of Adam Humphries and DeSean Jackson.
