Jameis Winston is a what!?

Listen, nobody understands the inconsistency of Jameis Winston more than fans of the Buccaneers, but having him ranked the same as Lamar Jackson, who can barely throw a football is just hurtful. Andy Dalton, Marcus Mariota, and Nick Foles are all also rated higher than Winston this year.

Considering that he was on pace over a 16 game adjusted schedule last year to throw for 38 touchdowns and over 5,000 yards, it seems disingenuous to have Winston rated as the 25th best quarterback in the game. Sure he makes a ton of stupid decisions and was also on pace for 25 interceptions, but there is little doubt that he has some of the best arm talent in the league.

Entering into the last year of his rookie contract, Winston is being hyped up by his new coaches and his even been predicted to lead the league in passing by PFF in 2019. It will be particularly interesting to see how Winston’s stats take a leap this year in Madden as he is nerfed pretty hardcore to begin the season.

The Buccaneers, starting with their starting quarterback have a ton of low ratings, but Winston is the most staggering other than the previously mentioned Smith. If he torches opposing defenses this year it won’t stay like that for long.
