Training camp is just one week away and new defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is ready to get started in his first season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
We are now just one week away from the start of training camp for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and in fact, the rookies even report earlier. Everyone is excited that football is set to begin again, but maybe none more excited than defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.
This will be Suh’s first (and potentially his only) training camp with the Buccaneers, and he took to Twitter to express his excitement to begin the 2019 season in Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers will need him to bring it each and every day as well, as the defensive line may have the least amount of depth of any position on the roster.
With Suh will be last year’s first rounder Vita Vea in the defensive trenches; the two combined might have the strength to push the entire city of Tampa into the Bay. However, outside of these two players, the Buccaneers are going to be stretching for a third starter and rotational pieces on the defensive front.
Suh comes in after a crazy offseason that led to a long debate between the comparison of himself with the long time Buccaneer and now a member of the Carolina Panthers Gerald McCoy. The pads will finally go on and all of the on-paper talk can be put to rest; regardless Suh is in the pewter and red, McCoy is no longer.
After back-to-back 5-11 seasons, the Buccaneers finally have optimism with Bruce Arians and Suh in town. He is fired up, and it is now time for him to bring the fire to the field.
