All in on Evans

Some of the best odds, and it is not surprising that this is so, can be placed on wide receiver Mike Evans. The star Buccaneers’ receiver has tallied over 1,000 yards in all of the first five years of his career, done only by Randy Moss, and is coming off the best year of his career.

Last year Evans tallied over 1,500 yards receiving and eight touchdowns on 86 total catches. These gaudy numbers have him in position to have the ninth best odds to lead the league in receiving touchdowns, and the fifth best odds to lead the league in receiving yards.

Evans is +2000 to catch the most touchdowns this season, behind division rival receivers Mike Thomas and Julio Jones, among other like DeAndre Hopkins and Davonte Adams. He is, however, only behind Jones, Thomas, Hopkins, and Odell Beckham Jr. in odds to have the most receiving yards at +1400.

Rated as the best player on the Buccaneers in Madden, Evans is clearly in a class of his own, and the odds-makers recognize that. Evans has a real chance to hit double-digits in touchdowns this season with a full year of Winston, so with those +2000 yards he could be a bet that can strike gold.

Tight end O.J. Howard is also listed with +6500 yards to lead the league in touchdowns. While the likes of Pro Football Focus are high on Howard and believe he is on the verge of superstar status, these are too steep of odds to mess with.
