Ndamukong Suh and Vita Vea

The drama of the defensive tackle swap of Gerald McCoy for Ndamukong Suh is over and the pads are finally on. One thing is certain, Suh looks the part and has been blowing up the offensive line on multiple occasions. While Suh did not practice yesterday, it is impossible to deny the force he has been throughout camp.

While the offensive line remains a gigantic worry and could be making Suh look better than advertised here, there is no doubt that he is a massive man who can move other massive men. Him and Vita Vea look like a huge problem for opposing offensive lines this season.

It has been William Gholston starting on the defensive line with Suh and Vea, who has struggled mightily over the past two seasons. It would appear that Suh and Vea may have the ability to compensate for a it of shortcoming from their running mate and hopefully a change in scheme only serves to help Gholston.

The Buccaneers need a strong defensive line, and while the depth remains an issue (and not a small one), Suh and Vea look to anchor the defense. This will allow David and White to get to the runner, untouched by blockers while the big boys up front take on double teams.
