Pro Football Focus ranked wide receivers into tiers based on their fantasy football potential, and two members of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers made the list.

With the 2019 NFL season quickly approaching that means so are fantasy football drafts. In this piece I will take a look at Pro Football Focus’s tier-based wide receiver rankings and how they view the pass-catchers for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

DeSean Jackson is now currently with the Philadelphia Eagles so that opens up the door for Chris Godwin to become the bonafide second wide receiver behind Mike Evans in Tampa Bay. Breshad Perriman, Bobo Wilson, and Justin Watson are the other receivers with experience in the NFL on the roster for the Buccaneers.

With a new head coach Bruce Arians and a new offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich, expect a ton of passing from the 2019 Buccaneers and quarterback Jameis Winston. Winston already has a great rapport with the sixth year wideout Evans, and will look to continue the successful connection between the two that has produced five straight 1,000 yard seasons for Evans.

In this tier ranking we see Evans check into tier-three titled “WR1’s With Elite Upside.” Evans has been a pretty steadily productive receiver his entire career but only has two seasons topping 75 catches. While he has not reeled in a ton of catches, Evans is a touchdown machine having totaled 40 in five seasons. Draft Evans in the early second to third rounds of your leagues and confidently plug him in every week regardless of the matchup.
