TE Tanner Hudson

The receiver and tight end groups on the Buccaneers’ might be the deepest on their roster. On top of the tight end roster is the obvious one-two punch of O.J. Howard and Cameron Brate, but beyond that the likes of Antony Auclair and Tanner Hudson are making waves as well.

Hudson is now making waves after his performance against the Steelers and may be working his way into the conversation for the third tight end spot on the depth chart. The 24 year old tight end finished the game in Pittsburgh Friday night with 84 yards and a touchdown on seven coaches.

Listed at 6-4 and 240 pounds, Hudson is a mismatch over the middle and down the field. Hudson was a solid security blanket for both Blaine Gabbert and Ryan Griffin on Friday night. It will be interesting to see if Hudson gets any reps on the field with the first teamers moving forward after his performance.

Schnell and Hudson led the Buccaneers in both catches and targets Friday night, and both have started the preseason with one foot forward. With the way Arians throws the ball all around the field and uses different offensive formations, Hudson not only has a solid chance to make the roster, but find a role on Sundays.
