Buccaneers claim rookie wide receiver Emanuel Hall
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have added to their already impressive receiving group, claiming undrafted rookie wide receiver Emanuel Hall.
Emanuel Hall was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Chicago Bears by was cut due to a lack of on-field time; Hall did not play in Chicago’s preseason opener and has missed most of camp in Chicago. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have claimed the services of the former Missouri Tiger off of waivers today.
The Bucs hope to get Hall healthy and on the field because when he plays he can be a difference-maker. Hall is a big play, speed receiver who runs a 4.39 40 yard dash and lit the combine on fire. In addition to his 40 yard dash time, Hall also posted a 43.5 inch vertical jump and a 11-9 foot broad jump; needless to say, Hall oozes with explosiveness.
While playing at Missouri, he led the SEC in yards per catch in 2017 (24.8) and 2018 (22.4). He totaled over 2000 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns during his college career. Last year for the Tigers, Hall tallied 828 yards and six scores in just eight games. Hall will be a deep ball threat in Tampa if he can remain healthy and give the Buccaneers another speedster to add on the outside.

With an already intense position battle at wide receiver in Tampa Bay, it is not a given Hall will be on the final 53-man roster. If he wants to make this team he will need to be on the field from here on out and if he is ready to go, expect Hall to get a lot of snaps in the next couple preseason games.
