Third Quarter

The Dolphins start the third quarter with possession. 2018 first round pick Josh Rosen is up at quarterback for the Dolphins. His first drive shows why he is competing for the starting job in Miami.

After a 57 yard drive down the field the drive stalls after a big sack from Buccaneer Beau Allen. Blaine Gabbert takes to the field as quarterback for Tampa Bay, however his first drive provides little to celebrate about for Bucs fans as he can only move the ball 6 yards down the field.

Josh Rosen strikes back for the Dolphins in the next series as he uses backup running back Kalen Ballage to cut through the Buccaneers defense. At the Tampa Bay 4 yard line, Mark Walton dives into the end zone for Miami’s first touchdown of the game. Kicker Jason Sanders adds the extra point.

Another poor drive for Tampa Bay as a holding penalty by tight end Anthony Auclair pushes the Bucs back, and Ronald Jones cannot break through the resurgent Miami defense. A great punt to end the drive by Bradley Pinion puts the ball right on the Miami goal line, and gets the Buccaneers back on track. Miami running back Mark Walton gets pushed back on his third run of the series to give the Buccaneers an extra two points for a safety.
