Little defensive line depth, Barrett ready to break out

Along the defensive front, Ndamukong Suh, Vita Vea, and William Gholston are listed as the starters, as they have been all preseason. With little depth after the release of Pat O’Conner, the Buccaneers list Beau Allen and Rakeem Nunez-Roches as the only depth in the defensive trenches.

In their first depth chart Noah Spence was listed as a starter opposite Carl Nassib at outside linebacker, and now he off of the team and went unclaimed on waivers. The depth chart on the defensive side of the ball looks a bit different now, starting with Shaquil Barrett now listed as the starting outside linebacker opposite Nassib instead of Spence.

Behind Nassib and Barrett, Demone Harris (who took Spence’s roster spot) and fourth rounder Anthony Nelson are listed as the rotational pieces off the edge in Tampa Bay. Nelson has missed most of training camp and Harris was on the practice squad all of last year, so they will both be thrown into the fire in week one against the 49ers on a rotational basis.

Little surprise at the inside back as well as Devin White and Lavonte David are listed as the starters. Deone Bucannon and Kevin Minter are listed as the backups to David and White, while Jack Cichy is listed as the fifth and final inside linebacker. Veteran Devante Bond was not listed on the depth chart for the Buccaneers in this unofficial release.
