After a long offseason, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to take on the San Francisco 49ers; what is the outcome of this Madden simulation?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to open up the new era in the pewter and red with Bruce Arians now steering the ship in Raymond James Stadium. In the past, the Buccaneers have had success in the opening week of the season, including an offensive firestorm in the defeat of the New Orleans Saints one year ago.

As the Buccaneers are prepared for the 49ers, former Buccaneer great and now general manager in San Francisco John Lynch, and linebacker Kwon Alexander, can the pewter and red squeak out another week one win. Neither team made the playoffs a year ago, but both have also been believed to have turned the ship around.

Jameis Winston and Jimmy Garoppolo are set to face off, Winston in his contract year and Garoppolo returning from a torn ACL. The Buccaneers also have a revamped defense, led by former New York Jets’ head coach and defensive coordinator Todd Bowles.

While the games played on Sunday are always unpredictable, like Ryan Fitzpatrick torching the NFC runner ups a year ago, what does Madden think will be the outcome of tomorrow’s game between the Bucs and 49ers? Here is a breakdown of a weekly simulation of the Buccaneers’ matchup, will they come out on top?
