While the Buccaneers saw their chances of a week one victory dismantled by the San Francisco 49ers, here are game balls, or rather skulls and planks.

Welcome To Skull & Plank Pick em’.

Before we get into this a little bit, I’m going to bring you a weekly “Game Ball” theme and am going to give a little explanation on how this works. It was easy to come up with the guys who did not play well for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after a 31-17 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

Instead of trending upward or trending downward, we give it a Bucs’ twist, giving the players either skulls and planks. Other than the second half of the game, there are some individual players that are trending in the wrong direction as well. However, it was not all bad news for the Buccaneers as their defense played well.

Skulls: A player from each side of the ball will be awarded this “game ball” for his production on the field for that weeks game, overall play or someone who might’ve improved and trending in the right direction.

Plank: This is obvious… this “game ball” like the Skulls is given to the two players who ruined everything and win loser of the week award and are trending in a downward direction.

So let’s see who gets these awards for week one vs. the San Francisco 49ers on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball for the Buccaneers.
