3.72 Eno Benjamin, RB, Arizona State

Inconsistent is the best way to describe the Buccaneers’ rushing attack again through two weeks of the 2019 season. In week one, Ronald Jones showed explosiveness and burst as he led the team in rushing, however in week two he saw just four carries and failed to hit 10 total yards.

In week two, Peyton Barber led the way and while he managed to find paydirt against the Panthers, he averaged less than four yards per carry. He is also entering the last year of his contract, so Barber could be playing football elsewhere in 2020, leaving just Dare Ogunbowale and Jones on the roster.

Neither Jones or Ogunbowale have proven to be an every down back to this point in their career, so adding a running back who can stay on the field for three downs could take the Buccaneers’ offensive attack to the next level. Eno Benjamin from Arizona State is that type of player as he can hit gaps between the tackles and excels as a receiver out of the backfield.

Benjamin tallied a massive sophomore season for the Sun Devils last year, rushing for over 1,600 yards and 16 touchdowns on the ground, averaging over five yards per carry; he added an additional 263 yards and two scores on 35 catches as a receiver as well. Put this young man in the pewter and chrome helmet and let him make plays at the next level.
