3 players the Buccaneers should target instead of Jalen Ramsey

While Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey is the hot commodity, he is also too expensive for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to afford.

All the rage right now on social media surrounding the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is current Jacksonville Jaguars’ cornerback Jalen Ramsey and his trade demand. The cornerback demanded a trade from Jacksonville, and fans of the Buccaneers seem to think he will be a good fit in Tampa.

Whether he would be a good fit with the Buccaneers or not, it is just not a realistic option for them as the Jaguars are asking for two first round picks in exchange for their lockdown cornerback. Considering the Buccaneers have not agreed to a long term extension with quarterback Jameis Winston, it makes little logistical sense to trade away valuable assets they may later need at the most valuable position in all of professional sports.

Instead, if the Buccaneers want to pursue a trade, they should do so at a position of need. Cornerback is not one of those positions as Carlton Davis and Vernon Hargreaves are playing well, and Sean Murphy-Bunting, Jamel Dean, and M.J. Stewart have all been drafted on day-two of the draft over the past two years.
