TE Evan Engram will be his best friend

The Giants have quite a mess on their hands at wide receiver as their starting receivers in Sterling Shepard, Golden Tate, and Corey Coleman are all out, and they traded one of the best receivers in the NFL in Odell Beckham Jr. to the Cleveland Browns this offseason. Last week they fielded Cody Latimer, Russell Shepard, Bennie Fowler, Cody Core, and T.J. Jones as their receivers against the Bills; needless to say they have no help on the perimeter.

Their biggest weapon in the passing game, however, will be third year tight end Evan Engram, and the Buccaneers must focus on him this week. Through the first two weeks of the season, Engram has been the Giants’ most reliable target as he has already totaled 17 catches for 164 yards and a score.

Expect Daniel Jones to rely heavily on Engram on Sunday as he will need a reliable security blanket to throw the ball to. The Buccaneers may counter this attack by running a lot of big nickel defensively, fielding three safeties at a time. Expect to see a ton of Jordan Whitehead and Mike, Edwards lined up in a variety of defensive formations as Bowles will look to keep speed on the field.
