The Tampa Bay Buccaneers play the New York Giants in week three of the 2019 NFL season at home and will be looking to continue their win streak.

The Eli Manning era appears to be coming to an end in New York as Daniel Jones has been named the new starter for the New York Giants. Jones looked consistent in the preseason and outplayed the initial draft outrage that many Giants fans showed the night and subsequent weeks after his name was called at sixth overall. Jones will be looking for his first win as a starter and the first win for the Giants this season, but he wont be finding it this week in Tampa Bay.

The Buccaneers outclass the Giants on both sides of the ball, just as they did a year ago. The defense for the Giants has also been depleted or traded away leaving a weak pass rush and a secondary that is a shade of what it was a few years ago.

While this is Daniel Jones’ first start for the G-Men and he has looked competent this preseason, he has many miles to go before he reaches the level of Jameis Winston. Jameis has experience in the NFL and has experience winning. No matter how talented Jones will be in his career, there is little that talent can do in place of experience.

The Buccaneer offense has been one of the strongest in the league for the last few years while the Giants have been stagnant through the air and can only create positive gains on offense through second round running back Saquon Barkley. Across the board the comparisons by position are in favor of the Buccaneers instead of the Giants except for Barkley.

Barkley is one of the few running backs in the league that has the capacity to put the game on his shoulders and carry his depleted and less talented team on his legs alone. While the Buccaneers are looking to become a run first team behind Peyton Barber and Ronald Jones, neither of these backs stand up to the caliber of Saquon.
