Will it be Barber or Jones? Neither.

My least favorite part about this weekly piece is trying to figure out which Bucs running back will be the answer for the week. Week one showed us Ronald Jones was improved from a year ago just to then have a Peyton Barber heavy game in week two.

Against the 49ers, Jones tallied more yards in that one game than he did his entire rookie season, and it looked like he was in store for more touches. However in week two, he saw just four carries and totaled less than ten yards; what Jones will we see in this one and will he get his touches?

Barber totaled 33 yards on eight carries in week one, surpassing the four yards per carry milestone, but then went off for 86 yards and a score in a weather-sloppy game against the Panthers on primetime TV. There is really no telling how the Buccaneers will use their running backs, but Barber appears to still maintain the edge over Jones.

This matchup caters more to Barber since he is more of the early down, short yardage and red zone back than Jones, so this game script should cater more to Barber. I would recommend avoiding starting either back if you have other options available because this backfield is such a toss up and is impossible to predict.
