Start both Evans and Godwin today

When it comes to the passing game there has only been one man worth writing about and that is third year wideout Chris Godwin. Godwin was my breakout candidate for this season and has made me look smart so far; Godwin, through two games has 17 total targets for 11 catches, 174 yards and two touchdowns.

Godwin is poised for another big game this Sunday as he faces off against the sixth worst pass defense this season against opposing wide receivers. Dak Prescott and Josh Allen have torched the Giants for career games in weeks one and two, so today should not be much different for Winston.

Mike Evans has yet to be the stud wideout we all know and love, but this could be the week to end the dry spell. Evans was playing ill in week one and then had a short turnaround to play a road game in week two; these are not optimal playing conditions to start the season.

Evans only has six catches for 88 yards this season, but don’t be shocked when he has more than that in this game alone. I’m confidently starting both Godwin and Evans in both of my money leagues this week. Now is the time to buy low on him with owners who have completely given up on Evans after just two weeks.
