After a heartbreaking loss that saw an 18 point lead dwindle away, here are the game balls, rather skulls and planks for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

I’m sincerely at a loss of words for how disappointed I am in this Tampa Bay Buccaneers loss to the New York Giants like the rest of you. This game was reported all week as a possible lock win due to the fact that both head coach Bruce Arians and defensive coordinator Todd Bowles were a combined 9-0 against rookie quarterbacks. Yet here we are, discussing another disappointing Bucs’ loss.

Bowles has turned the worst Defensive unit in the NFL in 2018 into a top five to ten defense, and we no longer have to say we’ve lost games due to poor defensive showings. The first year defensive coordinator for the Bucs has got this unit sold on his heavy blitz based 3-4 style, and this team has improved getting pressure on the quarterback.

The offense is doing just about the same things, finishing drives more often than not as every drive in the first half resulted in points on the board. Their first three and out came in the third quarter when the play calling got conservative and the downfall started.

While this loss to the Giants stings, competitive football is back in Tampa Bay as the Buccaneers have played three close games in a row now. Here are this week’s skulls and planks for the Buccaneers in this heartbreaking loss to the Giants.
