RoJo in, Barber out

In case you missed my article that was dropped on Wednesday morning, I have officially bought property on Ronald Jones III island. RJ3 has scored double digit points in two of the three matchups so far in PPR leagues, so hopefully the Buccaneers take the hint and get him more touches.

When the Bucs are playing catch up, Jones is the back we see getting the bulk of the snaps, and quite frankly, he does more with his touches than his running mate Peyton Barber does anyways. This week’s matchup is shaping up to be a RJ3 heavy game as the Bucs may find themselves behind early on, so I like him as a buy low in daily lineups, as well as a flex in most leagues.

The Rams are allowing 5.3 yards per touch to opposing running backs, which ranks as the seventh worst in the league and Jones has shown his ability to break big plays. The combination of a Rams defense that struggles against tailbacks and Jones’ big play ability should make for a good fantasy outing for the former second round pick.

It may be time to keep Barber on your bench until further notice. While he does well with the carries he gets, he is not explosive and struggles to sniff the endzone.
