QB Jameis Winston

To be fair, you can always put the quarterback on the players to watch list, but Jameis Winston is different. At this point, we still do not know who Winston is; will he show up and throw for 300 yards and three scores, or will he throw three picks instead?

Do not force plays, do not make costly mistakes, be consistent; this should be Winston’s motto moving forward, and if he does these things, the Buccaneers have a chance to win. I imagine that’s what offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich says to him just about every week as well, as Winston has not quite been consistent thus far, playing poorly in week one, conservative in week two, then lighting it up last week.

With Jameis it is more about what he does not do instead of what he does; looking at the previous two games it seems that Jameis has come into his own in this system a bit. He has been more of a game manager while limiting his mistakes, which has put the Buccaneers in position to win in back-to-back weeks.

The Rams have yet to face an offense with weapons like the Bucs, as the best team they have played thus far are the floundering Cleveland Browns. If Jameis and Arians can find ways to get tight end O.J. Howard involved we are in for a treat. The trio of Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Howard can be the best in the NFL, but we have yet to see them all click.
