Secondary Unit

This last one is not one particular player, but the secondary unit as a whole after they were torched by Daniel Jones a week ago. This secondary was ripped apart last week against a rookie and if they expect to bring that same effort into this week they do not stand a chance against the high-powered Rams.

Before the blame was a lack of pass rush but we now know even having the NFL sack leader is not helping. While safety Mike Edwards is still learning, he constantly takes bad angles at receivers leading to big plays. Meanwhile Vernon Hargreaves does lead the team in total tackles, it is because he is constantly letting his receiver catch the ball.

The unit also only has 1 interception on the year that came in game one. It is time for defensive coordinator Todd Bowles to shape them up. We finally have the pass rush we have been missing but this unit has got to make plays as well.

When you have a receiver that has 190 yards and three touchdowns and a defensive player that has four sacks you cannot lose that game. A lot of last week meltdown falls on the shoulders of this secondary. This week they right the ship!
