3.80 Leki Fotu, DL, Utah

One of this writer’s absolute favorite prospects in this year’s class is Utah defensive tackle Leki Fotu. We discuss the strength of Suh and Vita Vea, so if Suh is moving elsewhere in 2020, then who better to replace him with than another absolute beast along the defensive front?

Listed at 6-5 and 335 pounds, Fotu is a boulder for the Utes, and he has serious potential to move offensive linemen, clearing lanes for linebackers to make plays against the run. Known more as a run stuffer than a pass rusher, Fotu has just three and a half sacks, all recorded last year as a junior.

He did, however, tally seven tackles for loss last season for Utah, and has already hit half that number as a senior with three and a half through the first four games of the season. Fotu has the hair to match that of Vea’s, so they could become the Flow Bros for the Buccaneers if they choose to go in that direction.

As the Buccaneers will need more defensive line depth moving forward, adding Fotu in the third round would be a win for defensive coordinator Todd Bowles and his defense. Here they keep Fotu in red as he goes from Salt Lake City to Tampa.
