A quarter of the season has passed, under head coach Bruce Arians, Jameis Winston is off to his best start with the Buccaneers.

It has been four games in the Bruce Arians system for Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston as he is in midst of the most important season of his young career. It’s safe to say when the Bucs used the number one overall pick on Jameis in 2015 they expected more than what he has produced.

Bucs’ general manager Jason Licht has done everything he can to build around Winston, bringing in top free-agent wide receivers, drafting offensive lineman and, along with the Glazers, have brought in three different head coaches to try to make it work. The latest of the bunch, Bruce Arians, is doing his best to rewrite the narrative that Jameis is a “turnover machine.”

We just passed the quarter mark in the 2019 season and the inaugural season in Tampa for Arians, who is Winston’s third head coach in five year. Which  has got me thinking, how does this year compare to his first under his previous two coaches? Here is a breakdown of how Winston’s first four starts under Arians as it compares to that of Lovie Smith and Dirk Koetter.
