T-1. WR Chris Godwin

That is correct, the highest graded player on the Buccaneers’ roster, tied with one other player, according to PFF is third year wide receiver Chris Godwin with a score of 90.2; this puts Godwin as the highest graded receiver in the entire National Football League. Last year Godwin took a step forward from his rookie season, and now in 2019, he has continued his growth as he is on pace for 1,500 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Leading the Buccaneers in receiving yards and catches, Godwin has totaled 26 catches for 386 yards and four touchdowns; his four scores ties him with Evans for the team lead as well. With the duo of Godwin and Evans, the best tandem in the NFL at the receiver position could be found in Tampa.

Godwin put together a career day, hitting career highs in both catches and yards after he torched the Rams for 172 yards and two scores on 12 catches. The offense has found its stride, and the growth of Godwin is a huge piece of this aerial attack for the Buccaneers.

With an elite score of 90.2, who else on the Bucs’ roster has recorded such a high grade from PFF? The answer is pretty obvious if you have watched any football down in Tampa through the first four weeks of the season.
