Sit ’em: Peyton Barber/Ronald Jones

Last week against the Rams, the Bucs’ running backs ran the ball for a combined 89 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. This week they faced a Saints defensive line, which is allowing 112 rushing yards a game which is ranked 20th in the NFL and that favors the Bucs rushing attack.

Although this season the Bucs have used Peyton Barber and Ronald Jones as a duo, and it hard to have confidence on which running back to start in fantasy from week to week. Until the Bucs figure out who they want to use more often I’d stay away from both of them.

This week I expect the Bucs offense to be pass-heavy and rightfully so against the Saints on the road. If the Bucs were smart, they would begin to give Jones the bulk of the carries as he has looked far better than Barber, even though Barber is still being treated as the starter.

Again, avoid them both until it is evident that Jones is the true starting running back as Barber has not shown the ability to produce consistently on a fantasy level; additionally he is holding Jones back from making a consistent contribution to your fantasy team.
