3. Patrick Peterson, Arizona Cardinals

Since coming into the league in 2011, Patrick Peterson has been one of the best cornerbacks the game has ever seen, and he has a positive past with both Bruce Arians and Todd Bowles. With his quick speed, and his 6-1frame, Peterson has dominated since coming into the league, going to eight Pro Bowls and named and All Pro three times.

Safe to say the guy is just flat out baller, Peterson would be a massive upgrade in the Bucs secondary and could provide some energy for the defense.Peterson, 29 is coming off a suspension this season for using Performance-enhancing drugs and has yet to play this season; he will be back in week seven for Arizona.

The Cardinals have started slow this season with a 1-3-1 record; they could look to get younger this offseason as they try to bolster their offense for quarterback Kyler Murray. If the Cardinals decide it’s time to move on from Peterson, the Bucs may have a chance to land a premiere cornerback still in his prime.

Peterson is under contract through the 2020 season and he is owed 13 million next season but the Bucs could use his services and if the price is right to expect the Bucs to potentially take a risk on Peterson in hopes of fixing their secondary. If the Bucs want a talent on-par with Jalen Ramsey, Peterson may be a great consolation prize at a cheaper price.
