4.113: Ke’Shawn Vaughn, RB, Vanderbilt

It may be time to phase out Peyton Barber from the offense for the pewter and red, besides, he is a free agent this offseason and the Bucs are unlikely to bring him back. Ronald Jones is the hot hand in Tampa, and the coaching staff must start to utilize him and Dare Ogunbowale more.

If the Bucs still want a tandem of running backs to run next season, then why not take an experienced and most decorated backs in Vanderbilt school history? Ke’Shawn Vaughn is a highly talented running back in a deep class of ball carriers, and could be a steal in the fourth round. Moving forward into 2020, the Bucs are more than likely going to give Jones the lion’s share of carries, but will need a reliable back to come in to give Jones a breather.

Vaughn started his collegiate career at the University of Illinois before transferring to Vanderbilt after two seasons. After redshirting in 2017, Vaughn saw his first action with the Commodores last year, rushing for over 1,200 yards and 12 touchdowns, averaging nearly eight yards per carry; thus far in 2019, he has totaled almost 500 yards and four scores as he is on pace for another 1,000 yard rushing season.
