WR Bobo Wilson

The Bucs punt returner Bobo Wilson could also see some run in the slot and not just on special teams. Wilson has had minimal run so far this season with just eight targets from Winston, but is it time for the Bucs to give him a shot at stepping up and contributing for this offense with no real third option?

Wilson and Winston have a connection from their time in Tallahassee as Seminoles in college, where Wilson had 42 receptions for 527 yards and four touchdowns in his sophomore season, Winston’s last season. His eight targets so far this season already surpassed his targets from his first two years combined during his time in Tampa.

It looks like the staff likes Wilson, and they are looking to get the ball in his hand a little more often. How often is the question, and does this staff view Wilson as the solution to the third option problem?

Wilson figures to be behind Miller in the pecking order, but perhaps the past connection sparks in practice in the coming weeks. As of now, it seems like it would take an injury or suspension to truly get Wilson enough playing time to make a significant contribution.
