Mock Draft Monday: Buccaneers looking to replace Jameis Winston?
By Cory Kinnan
For being the bye week, there sure were a ton of rumors flying around about the Buccaneers and Jameis Winston; do they replace him in this mock draft?
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are now back off of their bye week and are set to take on the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. While the pewter and red were on a bye, it was certainly a busy one as the rumors were flying around this team.
First, Bleacher Report’s Mike Freeman indicated that the Bucs are set to “reset their sights” at the quarterback position, sparking a storm of interaction on social media. Then today on Sports Illustrated’s MMQB, Albert Breer reported that the New England Patriots made the Bucs an offer for tight end O.J. Howard; the Buccaneers declined this trade.
Needless to say, it is hard to know what to make of this Bucs team as well as quarterback Jameis Winston. Right now they sit at 2-4, but have a difficult last ten games, starting with the 3-4 Titans and their tenth ranked defense; uncertainty makes it hard to do a mock draft, but we will be pursuing the flavor of the week.
The flavor of the bye week, however, was a hint at a ton of changes to the Bucs after the 2019 season. Looking destined for a rebuild, here is the week eight Mock Draft Monday for the Buccaneers.
