2.43: Alaric Jackson, OT, Iowa

Addressing another cornerstone position that is currently lacking on the roster, the Buccaneers use their second round pick on offensive tackle Alaric Jackson from the University of Iowa. The Hawkeyes could see both of their tackles taken early on as Tristan Wirfs looks like a first round pick opposite Jackson.

Jackson, a 6-6 and 320 pound left tackle from Iowa, could give the Buccaneers a solution at their tackle spots as Donovan Smith has been absolutely horrendous over the past two seasons, and Demar Dotson is set to depart from Tampa after the 2019 season. The starting left tackle for Iowa was named to second team All Big Ten last year.

The big man from Iowa has started just three games this year, missing time in the middle of the season with a knee injury in week two of the season. He is now healthy and back for the Hawkeyes, stalwarting defenders from his left tackle spot.

Jackson is a candidate to slip into the first round if his performance continues and if he tests well at the combine in Indianapolis. Right now he is slated as a day-two pick, landing with the Bucs here, but keep an eye on him to make a potential rise as the season moves along.
