State of the franchise: How to fix the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
QB Controversy
Is Winston really the answer beyond the 2019 season? Can he save his career with the Buccaneers in the remaining 10 games of this season?
Will Jason Licht and Bruce Arians be sitting in the war room draft night looking for a new leader of the offense through the draft in someone like Joe Burrow, Justin Herbert, Tua Tagovailoa, or Jalen Hurts? Could we see a new quarterback thru the free agency period like Teddy Bridgewater if he doesn’t resign with the Saints?
The point is, right now we don’t know who will be our quarterback, and only the front office will know. Once again we need to build an offensive line that will protect this quarterback for the Bucs to succeed.
Hope our coaches remain intact
There have been rumors that offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich and defensive coordinator Todd Bowles could be contending for a head coaching jobs in 2020. While this team is not in the best position, this system will work and like anything else, it won’t be overnight.
Bruce Arians will have the answer and hopefully this coaching staff stays together so we can truly see what this team can be capable of. The only sticky situation is that Arians will not hold any of his coaches back from pursuing a head coaching job and a step forward (nor should he).
To quote a friend whose stated in the past “It takes about 5 years to truly see what a coaching staff is capable of.” –@WhatTheBuc. This was just the first season so all hope is not lost as these three guys are just getting started in Tampa.
Bucs might not get anywhere this season, but what we do know is their is no giving up in this team. Simply lying down is not an option anymore for the Bucs as this team has proven they fight to the end. The Bucs are improving, but they are just not there yet.
