As the Buccaneers will inevitably look to patch up their offensive line this offseason, here are four offensive guards who are set to hit free agency.

Working our way through a near mid-season review of struggling positions and potential free agent options to upgrade the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, we now look at offensive guards in the last year of their contracts. Thus far, we have covered quarterbacks with Jameis Winston as inconsistent as ever, and offensive tackles as both Demar Dotson and Donovan Smith are not cutting it.

Guard is certainly not as big of a need as tackle or cornerback for the Buccaneers as Ali Marpet is continuing to play at an All Pro level. Alex Cappa was playing well enough to keep his job before breaking his arm against the New Orleans Saints as well; it is not likely the Bucs will replace him at this point, but his season could take a turn in his first year as the starter.

With the fourth-highest paid offensive line, the Buccaneers will have to get savvy with their numbers in free agency. However with over $80 million to spend next offseason, it is not beyond general manager Jason Licht to invest even more assets into the pewter and red offensive line.

Here are four guards who are set to hit the open market after the 2019 season who Licht and the Buccaneers could pursue to upgrade the offensive trenches.
