3. Austin Blythe, Los Angeles Rams

While Peat was a first rounder who has yet to live up to the hype in his fifth season, Blythe is a former seventh rounder who has earned his keep in the NFL. Now in his contract year with the Los Angeles Rams, Blythe is looking at a decent sized payday in the face.

Seeing reps as a full time starter for the first time last year for the Rams, Blythe appeared in all 16 games and even played in the Super Bowl. This year he has moved to center in Los Angeles, but for the past three seasons has played at guard; if the Bucs were to sign him, he would inevitably move back to guard.

He is not faring as great in 2019 at the center position either, so moving back to guard would be in Blythe’s best interest as well. The 27 year old will be getting a fair shake this offseason one way or the other, but it will be interesting to see if that deal comes from the Rams or not.

Blythe’s next deal should come at a relatively moderate price, between $5-7 million per year after this season. Given Dotson’s $5.5 million is coming off the books after this season, the Bucs could look to allocate that money into another offensive line contract.
