1. Brandon Scherff, Washington

Finally, the cream of the crop of this free agent class in 2020 at the guard position: current Wasington guard Brandon Scherff. The two-time Pro Bowler out of the University of Iowa is set to hit the market after five years in the Nation’s capital.

To be quite frank, this writer is not quite sure why any player would want to re-sign in Washington and the current dumpster fire that is happening there. Take a look at what is happening under the Glazers in Tampa, then multiply it by 1,000 and you will get to the amount of dysfunction going on in Washington.

The former fifth overall pick back in 2015, Scherff has been the bully of the NFC East for going on five years now; that bully is about to take much more than just lunch money as his next contract is going to be a massive one. While this price tag may be out of reach for the pewter and red to take on, the fact remains that Scherff is the best guard available.

In a perfect world, the Bucs would be in the market for Scherff, this remains a bit of a pipe dream at this point in the season. The Bucs will undoubtedly make adjustments to their offensive line, but it is doubtful their priority will be the guard position.
