2. Bryan Bulaga, Green Bay Packers

The runner-up on this list of potential offensive tackles that the Buccaneers could pursue this offseason to shore up their offensive line is Green Bay Packers’ right tackle Bryan Bulaga. Grading out at a great 78 overall according to PFF, Bulaga is in line for a massive payday.

In case you have forgotten due to the Bucs having no space this past offseason, general manager Jason Licht is not afraid to spend money on proven commodities. Bulaga would be a massive win for the pewter and red as they look to patch up their offensive trenches.

The bad news, however, is that the Buccaneers already have the fourth highest paid offensive line in the league. This means that they may be more willing to draft a rookie, who will be much cheaper, than sign a veteran player to a massive contract. If they do move on from one of their bigger deals (Smith is the only likely candidate given the strong play of both Ali Marpet and Ryan Jensen), then they could add another massive deal.

Dotson’s contract will give the Bucs another $5.5 million in cap space to spend, so the Bucs may also see that as an opportunity to spend a bit more to replace him. Bulaga is a solid bet to upgrade the offensive line, but not the best on the list.
