Scouting Report. Round 2. 48. Pick Analysis. Notre Dame. Tommy Kraemer. OG. player

Speaking of the quarterback situation, it’s no secret that the Buccaneers need help on the offensive line. They actually need more than just “help,” they direly need an overhaul.

Donovan Smith isn’t cutting it at left tackle, Demar Dotson is starting to show his age and injuries and poor performance have maligned the right guard position all season.

Tampa Bay hasn’t drafted an offensive lineman in the first round since 2006, and this mock draft predicts that they won’t do it next year either. However, Tommy Kraemer is a talent that should be in the first round, and he may even make it there in other mock drafts by the end of the season.

Kraemer is a mammoth of a man at 6’6 320 lbs, and he bullies defensive lineman on run plays and even has some nifty footwork that’s NFL-ready. That strength and size would be a godsend for the running game as the Buccaneers continue to try to establish a ground attack.

He’s not quite there yet as a pass-blocker, but the potential is there. He even has the size to play right tackle if it can be coached out of him. He’d be a great fit opposite of Ali Marpet.
