Cole McKivitz. player. 877. Pick Analysis. Round 6. West Virginia. OT. Scouting Report

The Buccaneers only have six picks in the 2020 NFL Draft, the last of which being right here in the sixth round.

Tampa Bay should look to sell off some assets such as Lavonte David and Vernon Hargreaves III before the trade deadline to stock up on picks if they really want to reload before next season.

However, the area of the team with the most need right now is still the offensive line.

Colton McKivitz came into the college football season with 35 starts under his belt already.

At 6’7 312 lbs, he’s a giant  and he’s versatile as well. He’s had starts left tackle and right guard before settling into his role as the starting right tackle for WVU in 2018.

This season, he headed back to left tackle to replace Yodny Cajuste.

McKivitz isn’t as physically gifted or as athletic as others at the position despite his size, but he plays with the mind of an NFL offensive lineman. He’s been consistently praised for his smart playing style. He’s got fluid motion in his hips and stellar footwork.

As a three-year starter and a redshirt senior, he’s already got more experience than most players going into the draft. If he can hang in there with the big boys in Tampa Bay, he could become a leader on the line despite his low draft slot.
