Jameis Winston will throw for 400 yards

This first prediction actually is not too bold, as the Seahawks do not have a particularly great secondary. Once known as the “Legion of Boom” the defensive back play in Seattle has declined sharply over the past three seasons, as the likes of Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor, and Richard Sherman have moved on from the Seahawks.

According to Football Outsiders, the Seahawks are ranked 19th against the pass and 23rd against the run. There is no reason with all of the fire power that the Buccaneers have on the offensive side of the ball that they should not be able to move the ball.

Jameis Winston has the arm talent, and has thrown for 380 yards or more in three games this season already for the pewter and red, hitting 400 yards once. With Mike Evans and Chris Godwin both on pace for over 1,000 yards receiving, the Seahawks should not be able to contain the Bucs’ passing attack on Sunday.

As he is nearing halfway through his contract year without earning a new deal yet, and not getting one anytime soon, Winston needs to step up his game if he wants to prove to the Buccaneers that he is the guy moving forward. Will he take a step forward or will we see more of the same?
