The Buccaneers have made it very clear that a rebuild is not necessary to compete in the NFC South. Here’s how the team can get there for 2020.

The trade deadline has come and gone and the Buccaneers have made no major moves. In fact, the Bucs have made no moves at all. Whether or not it is a good thing remains to be seen, but the team has made one thing clear: this is the team and the coach that they intend to win with. Hard-headedness is sometimes a good trait in sports and time will tell if this is the correct decision.

The Buccaneers and Bruce Arians alike have made it clear that they intend to win in 2019 and are not punting on this season. Arians almost naively claimed that he still intends to win this year even though the team seems well outside of playoff contention and every win for the rest of the season takes away from the available options in the draft.

Some parties believe that the Buccaneers are far off from relevance while other groups believe that they are very close. As of now neither group is “right” but it seems that the Bucs fall closer to needing a restart than a few key pieces, although it appears as though the front office is turning their noses up at this prospect. If the Bucs intend to win in 2020 here are the best ways to go about it.
