Buccaneers promote pass rusher Kahzin Daniels to active roster

As the Buccaneers are battling injuries at the outside linebacker position, they have added undrafted rookie Kahzin Daniels to the active roster.
In some positive, upbeat news, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have promoted rookie pass rusher Kahzin Daniels to their active 53 man roster. Daniels, if you can remember back to training camp, was an undrafted free agent from Charleston (WV), who is blind in one eye; he will now get a chance to make an impact on an active NFL roster.
In order to make room for Daniels, the Buccaneers waived wide receiver/return specialist Amara Darboh after just two weeks with the team. Daniels becomes the second pass rusher who was added to the roster yesterday, in addition to veteran Sam Acho.
Due to the piling injuries at the outside linebacker position, with both Carl Nassib and rookie Anthony Nelson getting dinged up in last week’s game against the Seattle Seahawks, the pewter and red have been forced to call in reinforcements at the outside linebacker position. With the season looking like it is out of reach with a 2-6 record at the midway point, the Bucs should be taking a look at their younger players in order to figure out which ones will be here in the future.
Throughout his collegiate career, playing at division II Charleston, Daniels recorded a massive 34.5 sacks, including two double-digit seasons in 2016 and 2017. As a senior, Daniels suffered a bit of a drop off, but still managed to record 8.5 sacks for Charleston.
As the Buccaneers find themselves in the midst of the league’s toughest schedule and four games under .500, it is a wise call to evaluate as much young talent as possible. As Daniels gets his shot, he looks to become more than just a feel-good story for the pewter and red.
