Here is the situation with the offensive line class: it is rather deep, but after the top-two at the position (Andrew Thomas and Tristan Wirfs), there is a bit of a drop off until tier two is reached. In this mock, both Thomas and Wirfs were gone by the eighth pick, so rather than reach on a tackle, the Buccaneers wait until round two to snag one here.

With their second round pick, they take Prince Tega Wanogho from the University of Auburn. Wanogho is a towering 6-7 and 307 pounds and displays freak, raw athleticism at the tackle position. The holdup with him? He is still relatively new to the sport of football, so his technique is still raw; it will be up to the Buccaneers’ coaching staff to sharpen his technique.

If Wanogho can clean up his footwork and hand usage a bit, then the sky is the limit for him. Gifted athletes like Wanogho do not come around very often, and he is definitely worth the risk for the pewter and red offensive line. Tampa will need to draft a tackle early as right tackle Demar Dotson is on the last year of his contract and at the mercy of Father Time.
