Where do we go from here?

Sure, maybe the organization could franchise tag him in lieu of a capable rookie taking the reigns in the next couple of years, but if you mistake Jameis Winston as the future of the franchise at this point, it’s your own fault for drinking the kool-aid.

Between Winston’s failures and the failures of most other high draft picks the Buccaneers have made as of late, the future looks bleak. At this point, Jason Licht has proven his ineptitude at GM. So what’s the solution?

The Buccaneers need a fresh start. It’s time to fire Licht and blow up the team. He never should’ve been re-signed in the first place. Bruce Arians said he wasn’t interested in a rebuild, but he’ll have to go along with it if he’s interested in coaching this team in the forseeable future.

Next. Mike Evans deserves better than the Buccaneers have provided. dark

Nothing’s working. It’s time to start selling off assets, players who deserve better and will probably have better success with another team anyway or that take up too much cap space, are aging or are not living up to their potential. Lavonte David, Donovan Smith, Demar Dotson, Ndamukong Suh, Jason Pierre-Paul, Peyton Barber, Cam Brate and yes, Jameis Winston.

It’s time to clean house. This experiment has lasted too long, six years to be exact.

It’s time to start over. Completely.
