Demar Dotson, Right Tackle

Right Tackle is the other position on the offensive line on this Buccaneers team that needs an upgrade, Demar Dotson is at the end of the line with his play and the Bucs need to get younger at this position. Dotson’s contract is up after this season and its time to move on.

So far this season Dotson has 7 penalties and has given up 5 sacks, with a lot of football to play Dotson will need to be better. Dotson is 34 years old and his age is showing, there are plenty of better options out there for the Buccaneers.

Look for the Buccaneers to look to free agency for this position, they have a lot of cap space and can spend some money on some good free agents, some of the names available are Bryan Bulaga, George Fant, and Joe Staley.

The Buccaneers will have a lot of options when the offseason rolls around, they will need to sure up the trenches before any other issues are confronted. If this team wants the quarterback to succeed they will need to provide protection for in the pocket and give the team more of a running game.
