Devin White will lead the team in tackles

He did it a week ago, and the bold prediction here is that he will do it again against another division rival in the Falcons. Over the past two weeks, the play of Devin White has improved, and while he still looks a step too late in coverage and making his reads, he has been a consistent performer against in the open field.

White was drafted to make the open field plays, and he is providing. His season started with an illness, then an injury, so the pewter and red have not been able to get the most out of their starting middle linebacker and former fifth overall pick that they were expecting. Progress is, however, progress for the young middle linebacker and future leader of this Bucs’ defense.

The rest of this season is all about the development and growth of the Bucs’ 2019 first round pick. Defensive coordinator Todd Bowles has this task on his hand, and while he has been working with a defense with subpar talent thus far, he has the future of a good defense with all of the young players he has.

White has been around the ball the last two weeks, and he will sniff out the pigskin again this week.
